Belarusians net sellers of foreign currency in January-September

October 6, Pozirk. Belarusians sold $5.8 billion and bought $4.3 billion worth of foreign cash at exchange offices in the first nine months of 2023, the National Bank reported.

Individuals also bought $2.7 billion and sold $1.7 billion online.

In the first nine months of 2023, net foreign currency sales exceeded purchases by nearly $500 million.

Belarus’ gold and foreign exchange reserves fell by $66.2 million in September to about $7.925 billion on October 1, according to the National Bank.
