PACE to discuss draft resolution on Łukašenka crimes tribunal – opposition politician

October 31, BPN. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe’s (PACE) political affairs and democracy committee has unanimously approved a draft resolution calling on the organization’s 46 member states to support the establishment of a special international tribunal for crimes against humanity committed by the Łukašenka regime, said Pavieł Łatuška, a member of the opposition’s transition cabinet.

PACE members are planning to discuss this suggestion at the next meeting, he said in a YouTube video. “No matter how complicated international bureaucratic, legal procedures are, we will do everything to ensure that those responsible for crimes against the Belarusian people are punished,” he said.
