Belarus’ foreign exchange reserves up 1.2 percent in October

November 4, BPN. Belarus’ gold and foreign exchange reserves rose by $86.5 million in October, or 1.15 percent, to $7.6 billion, the National Bank’s press office reported.

In September, the reserves grew by $39.2 million or 0.53 percent.

Starting from August, the National Bank has been publishing information on foreign exchange reserves on its official website without detailing their structure and commenting on fluctuations.

The Belarusian rubel has appreciated against the US dollar, the euro and other currencies in the last few months.

Under the bank’s monetary and credit policy guidelines for 2022, Belarus’ international reserves should amount to at least $7 billion on January 1, 2023.
