Belarus says it intercepted Ukrainian drone

November 4, BPN. A Belarusian border patrol intercepted a drone heading from Ukraine into Belarus at the shared border in the Homiel region on November 2, the State Border Committee’s press office reported.

It was launched from Ukraine by local paramilitary units, the Belarusian border authority said.

“Its photos and videos indicate that the drone was equipped with infrared vision system and was used for training in transporting and dropping explosive devices, as well as for reconnaissance,” the border committee said.

Ukrainian border authorities have not yet commented on the incident.
