Belarusians net sellers of foreign currency in 2022
October 7, BPN. Belarusians sold $6.3 billion and bought $5.2 billion worth of foreign cash at exchange offices in the first 10 months of 2022, the National Bank reported.
Individuals also bought $3.1 billion and sold $2.7 billion online.
In January-October, net foreign currency sales exceeded purchases by $267 million.
According to the regulator, the country’s gold and currency reserves rose by $86.5 million to $7.6 billion in October.
