Małady Front chairman Dzianis Urbanovič wounded in Ukraine

November 6, BPN. A Belarusian volunteer fighter, Małady Front chairman Dzianis Urbanovič, sustained a shrapnel wound to a muscle in his arm, his friends told BPN.

“He will now undergo a surgery,” a source said.

Public activist Dzianis Urbanovič has headed Małady Front since 2018.

In June 2020 and March-April 2021, he served several 15-day jail terms in connection with his political activities. In August 2021, Urbanovič was arrested in Naroŭla, Homiel region, on suspicion of staging protests in Mazyr in August 2020.

Urbanovič fled to Ukraine late last year, and is now fighting against Russia with the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment. In May 2022, he was severely concussed.

In August 2022, authorities designated Małady Front as an extremist group.
