Łukašenka discusses upcoming meetings with Putin by phone

November 9, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed on the schedule of bilateral meetings until the end of 2022, in a phone call on November 8.

They also discussed trade, economy, and the upcoming meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Łukašenka’s press office reported.

On October 31, Łukašenka said that he would meet Putin soon, but the Russian president’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not confirm any dates.

Łukašenka and Putin briefly met in mid-October on the sidelines of a Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit in Kazakhstan’s Astana.

They had a more substantial discussion on September 26 in Sochi.
