Dozens of political trials being held across Belarus

November 10, BPN. At least 28 trials in politically-motivated cases are to be held on November 10 across Belarus, including the trial of ten Rabočy Ruch (Labor Movement) activists accused of high treason, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.

The House of Representatives has passed a clemency program, but it does not cover those convicted on politically-motivated charges.

As of November 10, human rights defenders identified at least 1,389 political prisoners.
