Russian company to take over McDonald’s chain in Belarus

November 11, BPN. The Russian fast food chain Vkusno i tochka (Delicious, Full Stop) will replace McDonald’s in Belarus in the coming weeks, says the Belarusian McDonald’s website.

KSB Victory Restaurants, Belarus’ franchisee, will operate the rebranded fast food outlets. It promised to keep all the jobs and offer “high-quality products at affordable prices.”

The exact launch date has yet to be announced.

In March, McDonald’s, the world’s largest burger chain, announced its decision to sell its restaurants in Russia following its invasion of Ukraine. A few months later, Vkusno i tochka replaced McDonald’s in Russia.

McDonald’s opened its first restaurant in Minsk in 1996, making Belarus the 100th country of presence.
