Cichanoŭskaja meets with former Ukraine’s president in Canada

November 21, BPN. Belarusian opposition leader Sviatłana Cichanoŭskaja and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko met at the 2022 Halifax International Security Forum in Canada.

“We coordinated joint measures to combat Russian invaders and prevent them from using the territory of Belarus and its infrastructure to attack Ukraine,” Poroshenko tweeted on November 20.

Belarusian politician’s press office has not yet reported on the meeting.

Cichanoŭskaja, who has held dozens of high-level international meetings over the past two years, has not been able to arrange a meeting with current Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
