Łukašenka praises Maduro’s confident leadership

November 23, BPN. Venezuela is “gradually increasing” its economic, industrial, scientific, and cultural potential under the “confident leadership” of Nicolás Maduro, Alaksandr Łukašenka said in his message on Maduro’s 60th birthday.

Łukašenka said that he is closely monitoring the implementation of important bilateral agreements, adding that cooperation will continue despite all temporary difficulties.

In January 2019, Venezuela’s protracted political crisis deepened after opposition leader Juan Guaidó declared himself interim president, creating another center of power in the country.

In 2021, trade between Belarus and Venezuela amounted to $2.03 million with Belarusian exports at $1.93 million and Venezuelan imports at $0.1 million, according to the Belarusian embassy in Venezuela.
