Minsk energy company’s chief engineer arrested for allegedly leaking officials’ data
November 25, BPN. Belarusian law enforcers have arrested the chief engineer of the Minskenergo energy company.
“Using his official powers, the man passed to the administrators of destructive resources personal data of more than 500 officials of our country, which were subsequently published in extremist Telegram channels,” the Belarusian Investigative Committee charged.
Those who leaked information about the security forces have been regularly arrested in recent weeks. Many of them are suspects in the Chernaya Kniga Belarusi (Eng.: Black Book of Belarus) case. The committee says that they include mobile operators’ employees, bankers, real estate specialists, lawyers and former law-enforcement officers.
The Chernaya Kniga Belarusi online project exposed the identities of security officers who mistreated and brutalized peaceful protesters.
