Łukašenka backs 2023 development targets: GDP growth at 3.8 percent, inflation at 7-8 percent

November 28, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka has approved the key socio-economic development parameters for 2023.

GDP growth is planned at 3.8 percent, real disposable income at 4.1 percent, investments in fixed assets at 22.3 percent, and exports of goods and services at 5.5 percent.

To reach these targets, the government would approve a “target plan for 2023,” Łukašenka’s press office reported.

“The main source of economic growth next year will be increasing investment in fixed assets,” it said.

The main areas of monetary policy for 2023, which have also been approved by Łukašenka, provide for a slowdown in inflation to 7-8 percent.

The key interest rate would range between 10 and 11 percent.
