Third consecutive jail term for human rights activist

November 29, BPN. A district court in Minsk sentenced Anastasija Łojka to 15 more days in jail, the Human Constanta advocacy group reported. The court found the human rights activist guilty of petty hooliganism on November 28.

Łojka’s previous 15-day jail terms were announced on October 31 and November 15, on the same grounds. She said police mistreated her in custody.

Law enforcers arrested the activist on October 28. Pro-government media disseminated a video of her saying that she received money from “foreign organizations.”
