Cichanoŭskaja, Łatuška case to be presented before court “soon”
November 29, BPN. Belarusian Investigative Committee Chairman Dźmitryj Hara has said a criminal case against opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja and a member of her transition cabinet, Pavieł Łatuška, will soon be presented before a court.
An unofficial Telegram channel of Alaksandr Łukašenka’s press office quoted Hara as saying that lawyers study the case files of Cichanoŭskaja, Łatuška and other politicians who “have imagined themselves the leaders of our country. This case will also be referred to court soon.”
The two politicians are expected to be tried in absentia. They are charged with conspiracy to seize state power, incitement to hatred and other crimes.
