Kaleśnikava in intensive care unit – report (update)

November 29, BPN. Maryja Kaleśnikava is in an intensive care unit at Homiel’s emergency hospital, former presidential hopeful Viktar Babaryka’s campaign said.

An ambulance crew brought her to the hospital’s surgery department on November 28.

“Masha was brought to the hospital with a surgical pathology and operated on on November 28. Now she is in a serious but stable condition with improvement. Tomorrow she should be transferred to the surgery department,” the campaign said.

The report comes a week after the administration of Homiel’s Colony No 4 placed Babaryka’s campaign manager Kaleśnikava in a punitive cell.

Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja has called on Belarusians to prevent the regime from keeping quiet about Kaleśnikava’s health.
