Monthly household spending up 10 percent in 2022 – Belstat
November 30, BPN. Monthly consumer spending, including for non-food items, alcohol, tobacco, and services, averaged out at 1,294 rubels (about $530) per household in Q3, the National Statistical Committee’s (Belstat) reported, citing a recent survey.
In 2022, Belarusians spent an average of 1,750 rubels (about $720) per month in household expenses against 1,588 rubels ($652) in 2021.
The average monthly household spending rose by 163 rubels year on year, or 10.2 percent, and by 118 rubels (7.2 percent) in Q3.
Food accounted for 38.7 percent; non-food items, 34.9 percent; and services and utilities, 24 percent. Disposable resources per household amounted to 1,842 rubles per month, the survey said.
Belstat said that 3.9 percent of Belarusians live below the minimum subsistence level. The highest percentage, 5.8, is reported in the Mahiloŭ region.
