Strana Dlya Zhizni branded extremist group

November 30, BPN. Authorities have blacklisted Strana Dlya Zhizni (Country for Life) as an extremist group, pro-government Telegram channels said.

The interior ministry considers it responsible for activities harming national security.

Strana Dlya Zhizni was a campaign message of former presidential hopeful Siarhiej Cichanoŭski, the husband of the Belarusian opposition leader Sviatłana Cichanoŭskaja. He used it frequently at his political events before his arrest in May 2020. He also has a YouTube channel called Strana Dlya Zhizni.

A foundation under the same name operates abroad.
