Sanctions leave government agencies without advanced foreign data protection systems

November 30, BPN. Sanctions have left Belarusian agencies without advanced foreign data protection systems, the director of the Research Institute for Technical Protection of Information, Alaksandr Horbač, told a press conference on November 30.

“Taking into account the sanctions that, to some extent, affected the possibility to buy the world brands’ information protection systems and means, we have done a lot of work and replaced what’s missing with national or Russia-produced systems,” Horbač said.

Belarus has developed its own data protection hardware and software, he said, and uses cryptographic tools and other solutions.
