Minsk Tractor Works to supply 3,500 tractors to Zimbabwe

January 30, BPN. The Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) is planning to supply 3,500 Belarus tractors to Zimbabwe within two years. A memorandum to that effect was signed by MTZ CEO Vital Voŭk and an official dealer at a business forum in Harare on January 30.

“The Zimbabwean market opened for Belarus vehicles several years ago thanks to our reliable partner, AFTRADE DMCC,” the Minsk City Executive Committee’s press office quoted Voŭk as saying. “And we are glad that we are talking about a strategic partnership today, which implies working on a systematic, promising basis.”

MTZ reportedly exported more than 1,800 pieces of equipment to Zimbabwe in 2018-2022.

Alaksandr Łukašenka arrives in Zimbabwe on January 30, media said. As part of the visit, which will continue until February 1, he will hold talks with President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
