Belarus’ industrial production down 4.1 percent in January

February 17, BPN. Belarus’ industrial output contracted by 4.1 percent in January year on year, the National Statistical Committee (Belstat) said.

It amounted to 14.1 billion rubels (about $5 billion) at current prices, it added.

In 2022, among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), only Belarus and Russia posted a decrease in industrial production by 5.4 and 0.6 percent, respectively, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s (EEC) statistical department said.
