Rubel up against US, EU, Russian currencies

February 23, BPN. The rubel has strengthened against three major currencies at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

It rose from 2.7981 to 2.7973 per US dollar, from 2.9883 to 2.9825 per euro, and from 3.7604 to 3.7487 per 100 Russian rubles.

At the same time, it fell from 4.073 to 4.0938 per 10 yuan.

Last week, (February 13-17), the rubel fell 1.77 percent against the dollar, 0.93 percent against the euro, and 0.58 percent against the yuan. It climbed 1.04 percent against the Russian ruble.

The Belarusian currency strengthened by 3.27 percent against the dollar in January following a 7.39 percent plunge against the greenback in 2022.
