Belarusian army holds air force drills

April 11, BPN. Belarusian army has held air force drills practicing surprise redeployment of aircraft to alternate airfields, VoenTV reported.

Aircraft took off en masse from their bases and landed at alternate airfields, including civilian ones.

“The flight was not difficult, we made two runs in order to check the aviation technical systems,” a fighter jet pilot told VoenTV.

On April 3, Alaksandr Łukašenka ordered a combat readiness check in the Belarusian Armed Forces. It takes place amid Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, in which the Belarusian leadership supports the Kremlin, and amid Minsk’s increasingly militaristic rhetoric towards Western countries.
