Łukašenka meets visiting leader of Russia’s Tatarstan
April 13, BPN. Trade between Belarus and Russia’s republic of Tatarstan has the potential to grow by more than $1 billion, recorded in 2022, Alaksandr Łukašenka has told Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at their meeting in Minsk.
Belarus is ready to supply necessary components to the aviation plant in Kazan that resumed mass production of Tu-214 passenger planes, he said. Belarus could manufacture about 500 Tu-214 spare parts, he added.
Minnikhanov said he had an intensive schedule in Minsk. The Tatarstan delegation includes executives from over 20 companies. A total of 335 Tatarstan companies cooperate with Belarusian businesses.
Minnikhanov’s previous visit to Minsk took place in December 2019.
