Belarusian defense minister accuses Poland of advance planning for war

April 14, BPN. Defense Minister Viktar Chrenin has said that he sees Poland’s actions as “intelligence indicators of advance preparation for war.” The video clip of his remarks to the media was released by the ministry’s press office on April 14.

Chrenin argued that Poland was preparing infrastructure and military units near Belarus. He also pointed to military drills and “reconnaissance activities against us.”

Chrenin recalled that Poland had discussed nuclear sharing arrangements with the US government.

“Poland’s prime minister makes a statement in Washington, an extremely dangerous one, by the way, that old Europe is not what it used to be, that we need a new Europe, which Poland is ready to lead. How should we look at it?” Chrenin questioned.
