Ukraine sanctions three Belarusians, one company

April 15, BPN. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed an edict introducing sanctions against Belarusian Minister of Sport and Tourism Siarhiej Kavalčuk and Aleh Ramanaŭ, head of the pro-government public association Belaya Rus.  

Ukraine also sanctioned athlete Maksim Niedasiekaŭ and Belarusian company Intermech specializing in automatization in machine-building and instrument-making sectors.

Restrictions block assets and stock trading, halt trade deals, agreements and projects, stop economic and financial operations, prevent the withdrawal of capital, revoke licenses and prohibit transit through Ukraine.

In January, Ukraine added to its sanctions list 23 Belarusian companies along with Alaksandr Asienka, STV channel head, pro-government pundit Alaksandr Špakoŭski, and state media workers Ryhor Azaronak and Ihar Tur.
