Belarus’ agricultural production up three percent in Q1

April 18, BPN. Belarusian farms produced 4.6 billion rubels (about $1.6 billion at the current exchange rate) worth of products in the first three months of 2023, a three percent increase year on year, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said.

Livestock and poultry output grew by 3.4 percent and milk production, by four percent.

Farms owed banks 3.1 billion rubels ($1 billion) in national and foreign currency, with overdue debt amounting to 11.5 million rubels, an increase of 33.7 percent in the first two months of 2023.
