Belarus’ opposition leader to have top-level meetings in Ireland
April 28, BPN. Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja will hold high level political meetings in Ireland next week, she has announced on Twitter.
During her visit, the politician will accept the 2022 Tipperary Peace Award conferred last month as a sign of support for democracy and freedom in Belarus.
Cichanoŭskaja will meet Irish President Michael Higgins, Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, and the Irish parliament’s speakers Seán Ó Fearghaíl and Mark Daly among others.
