May 1, BPN. A district court in Mahiloŭ has sentenced blogger Uładzimir Cyhanovič to one more year for defying the prison administration’s orders. Judge Taćciana Kaściuk issued the ruling on April 10, the Viasna center reported.
Cyhanovič, who ran the MozgON YouTube channel, was convicted in a high-profile case against the associates of former presidential hopeful Siarhiej Cichanoŭski. The Cichanoŭski case defendants were charged with several criminal offenses, such as organizing mass riots, inciting hatred and obstructing the work of the central election commission.
