Rubel up against US dollar, yaun at BCSE

January 16, Pozirk. The rubel has strengthened to 3.1481 against the US dollar at the January 16 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

It also climbed to 4.3529 per 10 Chinese yuan but fell to 3.589 per 100 Russian rubles.

The rubel has not traded against the European currency and remained at 3.437 against the euro.

Last week (January 8 – 12), the rubel rose 1.4 percent against the greenback, 1.3 percent against the yuan and 0.69 percent against the euro but fell 1.91 percent against the Russian currency.

The Belarusian currency lost 16.12 percent of its value against the dollar in 2023.
