Minsk to host conference on security in Eurasia

October 18, Pozirk. The high-level conference on Eurasian security will take place in Minsk on October 26 and 27, the foreign ministry’s press office reports.

Representatives of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and other Eurasian countries are expected to attend, it noted.

Top officials from a number of international organizations, academics and experts from about 30 countries will reportedly participate in the conference.

It will be held amid aggravating security situation in the region, as Russia continues waging the full-scale war against Ukraine, while the West keeps accusing Minsk of provoking military threats along with the militarization of Belarus.
