Bomb squads, anti-drone units ready to guard All-Belarusian People’s Assembly

April 23, Pozirk. More than 3,000 police officers and internal troops will be deployed to protect public order during the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly scheduled for April 24 and 25 in Minsk, police official Alaksandar Kupčenia announced on Monday.

Bomb squads, anti-drone units, cyber police and teams monitoring surveillance cameras will be involved, the Minsk City Executive Committee said on Telegram.

The All-Belarusian People’s Assembly is formed of officials and pro-government delegates who approve key domestic and foreign policies, military doctrines, national security documents, as well as socioeconomic plans. It is eligible to propose constitutional amendments and rule on the legitimacy of elections.
