September 3, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> German MP Thomas Rachel (CDU) has called for the International Red Cross, family, and lawyer to be allowed to see Belarus’ prisoner Maryja Kale\u015bnikava.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel took<\/a> to Twitter (X) to exercise “parliamentary guardianship” of Kale\u015bnikava, a campaign manager for presidential hopeful Viktar Babaryka in 2020. The political prisoner\u2019s condition is alarming, the deputy said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The German-based International Society for Human Rights supported Rachel’s call. It said Kale\u015bnikava’s health is worrying as she weighs only 45 kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, her sister Ta\u0107ciana Chomi\u010d said that Kale\u015bnikava has been held incommunicado for more than 560 days while her family members have to seek news about her from current and former inmates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prison wardens are slowly murdering Kale\u015bnikava by refusing her the diet she needs and by withholding communication with her family, she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
