September 5, <\/strong>Pozirk.<\/strong> <\/em>The Council of Ministers has authorized the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and its branches to use a reduced coefficient of 0.1 to the basic rental rate for renting government-owned premises, says government’s Directive No 642 published on the National Legal Internet Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pro-government LDP is the only political party allowed to use the same discounted rate as the Belarusian Innovation Fund, a state-run newspaper distribution system and some religious communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In late 2022, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka called for disbanding parties whose activities run counter to \u201cthe basic principles of internal and foreign policy.\u201d Justice ministry shut down 12 political parties the following year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The LDP is one of the four pro-government political parties that was granted re-registration in addition to Bie\u0142aja Ru\u015b party of \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s supporters, the Communist Party of Belarus, and the Republican Party of Labor and Justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
