September 13, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>The West should take more active steps to neutralize Russian attack drones since so far only Belarus engaged in downing them, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has told the 20th Yalta European Strategy (YES) annual meeting in Kyiv, his press office reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His comment reflected criticism of Ukraine’s allies, who failed to react to airspace violations by Russian drones. Such incidents are humiliating for a strong democratic world, the politician stressed in an apparent reference to the crash of a Shahed drone carrying explosives in eastern Latvia on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past three months, the Bie\u0142aruski Hajun monitoring group and Ukraine\u2019s Air Force have reported multiple Russian drone incursions into Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minsk, which supports Russia in its war against Ukraine, refused to comment on the incidents until September 5, when it confirmed that Belarus\u2019 air defenses shot down drones that violated Belarusian airspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
