September 13, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>A hybrid war targeting Belarus and Iran among others is raging on the planet, Alaksandar Valfovi\u010d, state secretary of Belarus\u2019 Security Council, has told his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Ahmadian at their meeting in Minsk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minsk supports Tehran’s idea of forming an “anti-sanctions coalition,” which would also deal with security issues, Belarusian state-run media report, citing the official as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus and Iran assess global politics in the same way and have similar approaches to ensuring national security, Valfovi\u010d said and suggested drafting a security roadmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minsk needs \u201cnot just consultations but joint actions\u201d with Tehran, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka told Ahmadian earlier today, extending the invitation to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to visit Minsk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus has intensified its relations with Iran after \u0141uka\u0161enka visited Tehran in March 2023 to negotiate a road map for comprehensive cooperation in 2023-2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This spring, a Belarusian military delegation participated in a counterterrorism drill in Iran as part of the Security Belt 2024 exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
