September 24, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The Belarusian State Control Committee has said that the Evroopt (E\u016draopt) company, which runs the Edostavka (Edasta\u016dka) online store and the Evropochta (E\u016drapo\u0161ta) delivery service, is under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, Evroopt customer data became available to security forces and at least 126 people were convicted of receiving food parcels ordered from the company by the INeedHelpBY campaign. Security forces also raided the apartments of campaigners supporting political prisoners’ families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The State Control Committee will examine Evroopt’s financial and economic operations and analyze whether it fulfilled its obligations to government agencies and organizations in full and on time. It will also scrutinize its investment and other activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May 2023, the National Personal Data Protection Center run a scheduled check on Evroopt and reported violations of personal data legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
