His son Mikita Za\u0142ataro\u016d is currently serving four and a half years in prison on charges widely seen as politically motivated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A judge in Homiel sentenced Maksim Ha\u0142ava\u010denka to 30 hours of community service for following an opposition Instagram account, local Viasna&#8217;s human rights defenders said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Homiel region&#8217;s courts tried people arrested during the recent raid across the region, including Alaksandar Vadzianicki, Valeryj Furman, U\u0142adzimir \u017do\u0142ud\u017a, Alaksandar Horbar, Pavie\u0142 Kula\u017canka, Alaksandar Ma\u0161ko, Alaksiej \u0141apcie\u016d, Inha Ta\u0142ma\u010daviec, Natalla \u0141utkova, Pavie\u0142 Limana\u016d, Mikita Judzin, D\u017amitryj Hryckievi\u010d, Ludmi\u0142a Zahorcava, Ja\u016dhien Bolbuch and Siarhiej Sabura\u016d. They all face the charges of sharing opposition content, the Homiel branch of Viasna said. The verdicts remain unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brother of exiled political analyst Valeryj Karbalevi\u010d and his wife will go on trial on November 10 in Recyca, Homiel region, the Homiel branch of Viasna said. They remain in custody and may be accused of sharing opposition content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Released<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities released Andrej Kudzik after he had served 15 days in jail for congratulating Ukraine on Independence Day in TikTok, his Facebook page said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of November 6, human rights defenders identified at least 1,462 political prisoners but the real number is considerably higher because many cases go undocumented.
