October 4, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The peacekeeping forces of the Russia-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) are practicing the delivery of humanitarian cargoes as a part of the 2024 Indestructible Brotherhood drill in Kazakhstan, Belarusian defense ministry reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCargo delivery is organized by ground and air transport,” it noted. “The convoys are accompanied by guards from the military contingents of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mi-35 attack helicopter pilots practice aerial reconnaissance and the protection of humanitarian aid convoys, it added. The drill reportedly features the first-time use of the APSDG-250 cargo parachute systems, equipped with automated controls and built-in navigation for high-precision landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drill in Kazakhstan is the second of the three major CSTO exercises involving Belarusian troops this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September, the CSTO rapid reaction forces trained in Kyrgyzstan, while Central Asia\u2019s rapid deployment forces will hold a drill in Tajikistan later this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 5,000 troops and 900 units of military and special equipment are expected to participate in the three events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CSTO is a military-political alliance whose declared goals are strengthening peace, international and regional security and stability, and protecting its member states\u2019 independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It consists of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
