November 16, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarus’ industrial production saw a year on year increase of 6.2 percent, reaching 168.1 billion rubels (some $51.21 billion at the current exchange rate) in January\u2013October, according to the National Statistical Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite this growth, the rate has been decelerating. Between January and July, the growth rate stood at 7.5 percent, falling to 7.1 percent in August and further to 6.4 percent in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mining industry reported growth of 4 percent, while the manufacturing sector expanded by 6.3 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, financial challenges persist. As of October 1, miners accumulated debts of 230 million rubels in both local and foreign currency loans, while manufacturing companies owed 29.37 billion rubels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inventories of finished goods rose to 8.4 billion rubels, an increase of 2.59 percent from 2023, and a significant rise of 72.78 percent over the past five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
