November 17, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Border guards on Friday found the body of a Yemeni national in the Hrodna region’s \u015avis\u0142a\u010d district, the Belarusian State Border Committee reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The body was discovered in a swamp near the Polish border, it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators collected evidence at the site, the Investigative Committee (IC) said. A backpack with personal belongings and documents was found next to the deceased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The criminal actions of the neighboring state’s officials have been carefully documented,” the IC said, without elaborating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian authorities often report such incidents on the border with the European Union (EU), blaming Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, while European countries view the migration crisis as a “hybrid attack” from Minsk and Moscow. Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka asserts that Belarus will not stop illegal migrants heading to the EU as long as it maintains sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
