November 18, Pozirk<\/em><\/strong>. The rubel hit a new low against the US dollar during Friday’s session at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange. Based on the session’s results, the National Bank of Belarus set the official exchange rate at 3.38 for November 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Had the country not undergone currency redenominations in 1994, 2000 and 2016, the dollar would be valued at a staggering 338,000,000 rubles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus leads the former Soviet republics in currency depreciation against the dollar since 1991, excluding the effects of monetary reforms. It is followed by Uzbekistan, with a value of 12,812,300, Turkmenistan at 8,750,000, Ukraine at 4,127,960, and Georgia at 2,731,100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other countries in the trailing list include Tajikistan at 1,065,660, Kazakhstan at 247,975, Russia at 99,997, Azerbaijan at 85,000, Armenia at 77,650, Moldova at 18,111 and Kyrgyzstan at 17,300.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
