{"id":114896,"date":"2024-11-21T17:54:03","date_gmt":"2024-11-21T14:54:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/114896\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"information-minister-concerned-about-influx-of-books-from-russia","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/114896\/","title":{"rendered":"Information minister concerned about influx of subversive books from Russia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>November 21, <em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Information Minister Marat Marka\u016d of Belarus has expressed concern about an influx of books that &#8220;can be considered extremist&#8221; from Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He made the statement at a meeting of the National Commission on the Assessment of Symbols, Merchandise and Information Products, a censorship body, blaming the import on book publishers and distributors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As restrictions on the &#8220;propaganda&#8221; of homosexuality and child-free lifestyles took effect in Russia, related books published there flooded Belarus, Marka\u016d complained. He urged the commission to make clear, specific decisions for the sake of the country and future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the list of extremist products already contains about 7,000 entries and is constantly expanding.
