November 27, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> During his visit to Pakistan, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has met with the Sharif family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s brother, Nawaz Sharif, who recently returned from exile, attended the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to \u0141uka\u0161enka’s press office, he also held talks with Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During yesterday’s negotiations with Shehbaz Sharif, \u0141uka\u0161enka promised to consider a visa waiver for Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2015, when then-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited Minsk, \u0141uka\u0161enka described him as a role model for any politician in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017, the Pakistani Supreme Court removed Nawaz Sharif from office following an anticorruption probe. He fled to London, but returned to his homeland in 2018 and was arrested. In 2019, he was released on bail and removed from the list of people banned from leaving the country. He used this opportunity to fly back to the British capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nawaz Sharif returned to Pakistan in October 2023, after four years of self-imposed exile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka’s visit to Pakistan coincided with protests by supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been in jail since May 2023. Protesters took to the streets demanding freedom for Khan and early elections. They also planned to hold a sit-in near the Parliament House, but security forces have launched an operation to clear Islamabad of protesters, CNN <\/em>reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“They will shake you up and keep escalating the situation,” \u0141uka\u0161enka said in Pakistan, without elaborating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
