December 5, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Belarusian resorts posted an increase in revenue of 15 percent year on year to 1.2 billion rubels (about $343.6 million) since January, Hienad\u017a Ba\u0142bato\u016dski of the national authority in charge of health resorts has told journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revenue growth for 2024 is projected at 20 percent, he said, citing growing numbers of foreign customers, which may exceed 240,000 recorded five years ago. This year, the total number of guests is expected to reach 1.5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming holiday season will attract about 24,000 guests, half of whom are foreigners, Ba\u0142bato\u016dski said. Resorts are almost fully booked and will operate at their full capacity, he added, noting that the agency will have spent 160 million rubles ($45.8 million) by late 2024 on renovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resorts charge guests 115 rubels (some $33) per day for accommodation in a standard double room. Ba\u0142bato\u016dski assured journalists that prices will not rise by more than 5 percent next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, Belarusian health resorts hosted 217,500 foreigners, with 95 percent being Russians, and posted a revenue increase of 26 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
