December 18, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Two Belarusian regions reported a decline in goods exports in January\u2013October, according to Pozirk<\/em>‘s analysis of data from the National Statistical Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exporters in the Viciebsk region sold $5.36 billion worth of goods, 3.2 percent less than in the same period of 2023. The Minsk region reported sales of $8.2 billion, a decrease of 0.4 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other regions and the capital city, exports were on the rise. The Homiel region posted $3.36 billion, up 11 percent; the Brest region, $3.19 billion, up 9.7 percent; the Mahilo\u016d region, $2.14 billion, up 9.4 percent; the Minsk region, $8.41 billion, up 7.9 percent; and the Hrodna region, $2.5 billion, up 7 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the Homiel region reported a drop in imports. In the first ten months, imports decreased by 2.1 percent to $4.01 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Viciebsk region’s imports rose by 15.7 percent to $3.85 billion; the Mahilo\u016d region’s, by 9.6 percent to $1.3 billion; the Minsk region’s, by 8.7 percent to $5.64 billion; the Hrodna region’s and Minsk’s, by 7.2 percent to $1.29 billion and $14.96 billion, respectively; and the Brest region’s, by 5.2 percent to $1.79 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus’ trade in goods and services in January\u2013October amounted to $82.82 billion. This represents an increase of 6.1 percent as compared with the same period last year, according to preliminary data from the National Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
