December 20, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Two Telegram chats have been recognized as extremist groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Homiel-Stary Aerodrom Chat<\/em> was declared so by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Svobodny \u017d\u0142obin<\/em> by the Committee for State Security. The decisions were made on December 19 and 16, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to security officials, artist Vijaleta Maj\u0161uk is associated with the Homiel chat and Kiry\u0142 Ataman\u010dyk, who has lived in Lithuania for over 10 years and runs the Vilnius Relax travel company, is associated with the \u017d\u0142obin chat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maj\u0161uk was a member of \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja’s initiative group during the 2020 presidential election and later fled to Ukraine. Now she is in a refugee camp in Slovakia with her activist husband, D\u017amitry \u0141ukomski.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This fall, \u0141ukomski was arrested after reporting the allegedly inadequate conditions in the refugee camp. However, a Slovak court has ruled to release him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 13, the Belarusian Investigative Committee opened an extremism case against Maj\u0161uk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior ministry’s extremism register contains 256 entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
