December 22, Pozirk. <\/em><\/strong>At least six drones that Russia uses to attack Ukraine were spotted in Belarusian airspace over the past 24 hours, the defense monitoring group Bie\u0142aruski Hajun has said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the drones reportedly travelled more than 170 kilometers along the Belarusian-Ukrainian border yesterday afternoon, entering Ukraine from the Homiel’s region Lel\u010dycy district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ukrainian Air Force said that one of 103 Russian drones that attacked Ukraine yesterday entered Belarus from Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian military aircraft did not take off to intercept the drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drone incursions into Belarus have been regularly reported over the past five months as Russians attack Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In early September, Belarusian air defenses downed several drones over Homiel. Later, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka admitted drone incursions and claimed that Belarusian air defenses shoot down UAVs regardless of their Russian or Ukrainian origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, authorities refused to introduce additional security measures in Homiel region\u2019s Chojniki district, whose residents signed a petition to express concern about their children\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
