{"id":119609,"date":"2024-12-24T19:42:40","date_gmt":"2024-12-24T16:42:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/119609\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"belarus-textile-clothing-sales-rose-35-percent-this-year-official-says","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/119609\/","title":{"rendered":"Belarus\u2019 textile, clothing sales rose 35 percent this year, official says"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>December 24, <em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Belarus\u2019 textile and clothing companies saw their sales in the European Union rise by 35 percent this year, Ta\u0107ciana \u0141uhina, head of the Bie\u0142lehpram light industry regulatory authority, told <em>Pervyi Informatsionnyi<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She noted a rise in exports to the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Hungary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The groundwork for the current result, which was laid in 2022 and 2023, has paid off this year,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Sanctions have helped us to step up in foreign markets. What pleases us is that we have managed to regain our position in the EU,&#8221; she told the state-controlled television channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, she said, Belarusian companies have established ties with businesses in Turkey, Egypt and India, increased sales in China and made trial shipments to Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u0141uhina said that exports to distant markets climed by 55 percent this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In early February, she said that Bie\u0142lehpram companies sold their goods in Germany, France and Belgium, although the sanctions affected EU exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June 2023, she said that before the sanctions, companies sold goods in 52 countries, including Ukraine, the EU, the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/64927\/\">Belarusian clothing industry official says exports to EU continue<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December 24, Pozirk.
