January 9, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The amount of assistance to Belarusians from Western partners has not changed, but should be increased to meet the growing needs, opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja told journalists in Warsaw yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn political terms, it is clear that we are not on the same agenda as in 2020, but in four years we have managed to consolidate our agency as Belarusian pro-democracy forces,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We have access to all democratic structures, governments, parliaments, and they continue to work with us. But we realize that Europe cannot focus on Belarus alone as a lot is happening in the world. It’s primarily our task not to be forgotten,\u201d the politician stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cichano\u016dskaja arrived in Poland yesterday on a three-day visit that focuses on the European strategy for Belarus during Poland\u2019s presidency of the European Union. She has met with Prime Minister Donald Tusk and is expected to meet with President Andrzej Duda, Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and several other ministers and MPs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
